Born into the legacy of the lodge, Cam has been an integral part of its operations since his earliest days. As the youngest son of the original lodge owner, John Reid, Cam's journey into the world of coastal exploration began at the remarkable age of 5 when he owned his first boat.

Growing up in the business, Cam's affinity for the waters deepened, and by the time he turned 16, he embraced the role of a full-time guide. His journey as a fisherman has been shaped by a lineage of dedicated guides, both past and present, who have served as mentors and contributors to his expertise.

Cam's roots at Coastal Springs run deep, having spent his childhood living year-round at the lodge. This early immersion granted him a profound understanding of the region from a young age, contributing to the authentic and intimate experiences he now shares with guests.

Beyond his role as a guide and owner, Cam is known for his adventurous spirit. With a vast collection of gear and an unwavering curiosity, he is always eager to explore new techniques and approaches to fishing. Cam's commitment to innovation ensures that Coastal Springs Float Lodge remains at the forefront of providing exceptional and evolving experiences for visitors.
